revelation

the whimsical energy of lives lived within escapes in abstract squiggles from the revamping of a centuries old edifice...
uncovering the upper portion of an ancient faded sign, if only one can decipher its mysterious provenance...

Very intriguing and mysterious! This is what you learn to notice with your blogging eyes, things you (or I) never noticed before!

You really do have the eye of an artist!

I love how old buildings have so many secret layers. There's one in my street, where peeling paint is half-revealing an old sign on the wall. Each time I pass by, I want to scramble up and see what's written on the sign.

Thanks, Peter and Adam, for your kind comments...
I am frequently moved to "salvage" old signage, or whatever is left of them, before they fade or are removed forever...such tangible yet transient remnants of a different world is always intriguing and so easily lost forever!
Have you taken a picture of that sign, Adam?

No, not yet Gina. For some reason, I find that I can't photograph or write about my immediate neighbourhood.
