re-tabulation

the most immutable and durable of signboards - inscribed in marble, framed in stone - can still succumb to the ravages of age and weather... and yet, this fading but solid evidence of a once flourishing enterprise remains in place as a memorial tablet, a relique to the thousands of objets once fabricated here for the deserving populace...

You really have the eye for "details", a real blogger!
It would be nice if you could indicate where your findings can be seen. (I will not "steal" your posts, but I'm curious!) :-)

Thanks, Peter...and you are right, I can be a bit too mysterious! It's usually because I focus on the artistic part of an image and don't bother so much with the facts...but for the interest of others, I will try to include more locations with my postings!
[Sometimes I do forget the exact address because I am not so organized...This particular sign was found in the 3rd around the Musée Carnavalet, possibly on Rue Payenne]

OK. Near the Centre Culturel Suédois! I will soon return there... and check! :-)
