anti-romeo

not a welcoming situation for any aspiring romeo, or even a few tired birds... the medieval elements striate this façade in rough-hewn solidity, determined to deter and repel all interlopers...

Not that I consider me as a Romeo, but could you give the address! Just for a look, not for trying to escalate!

Bonjour Peter!
Again, I don't have the exact address, but it was taken the same day as the other gate you asked about. The building could be on a side street off the Canal st-Martin in the 10th section, before I turned west on Rue des Récollets and then south on Rue du Faubourg St-Martin.
[Usually I do write down or shoot the street name signs, but I was with a friend that day and wasn't as diligent with my attention!]
If you find both gate and building one day, do let me know. I should retrace my steps and do a search as well next time I am in Paris!

Maybe we can try to (re)find it together then one day?

That would be fun, Peter!
I am hoping to be back in Paris in April...
