angst-alone

on a quiet stretch of the quai des Celestins just a couple of blocks from where I stay I meet a shy and lonely nude man...
he is trapped in a blocked-up doorway of the solitary house overlooking the Seine...cars whizz by with no regard and strollers only give him a quick quizzical glance...
he is reduced to a one-dimensional contorted angular anguished mass, his body language a dramatic rejection of the hurried and disquieted world...

[I know I have been on a run with "white bodies" this past few posts, but it is odd that the more people are disconnected from each other, the more one sees the population of substitute human forms!]

Another nice example of urban art that I have missed! ... until now when you showed it!

A strange and disturbing image for sure, like a ghost from a mental hospital or prison for the criminally insane... another good find... wow, how many hours a day are you out tracking all these ephemera down for us ???

I would say that this looks like one of the photos from the abu ghraib torture incidents. I wonder if that's the case.

Perceptive Men of France::

Merci, Peter, for your always prompt and receptive responses! Did I mention already that I like your new mysterious profile photo, but I do miss your smiley babyface!

Thanks, Owen, for coming on my site so I could discover your fun, fun, fun and wonderful blog...I only had time to wander through your Brittany posts today because I love, love, love la Bretagne!! [I have been posting photos from my recent trip to the Morbihan coast on my ZYGOSPHERE blog]
And when I am in Paris, I do walk and bike around a lot!

And Adam...that is a gruesome comparison, but I don't think so...I did not get the feeling of the pose as being morbidly torturous - more dance-theatrical perhaps??
I never did find out the name of the artist...if any of you have the chance, please do let me know!

Hi Gina, An honor to be named to the prestigious and exclusive "Perceptive Men of France" group... I wonder how many belong to the club ??? LOL ! And with such excellent company as Peter and Adam... a true privilege !

Thank you so much for clueing me in to your other blogs, I don't always have the reflex to check to see if people have more than one... let alone four... (I'm impressed, it's all I can do to keep one going!) Just took a nice long ramble around Zygosphere today, and can see I'll have to come back for a much longer look, love your Père Lachaise shots, and the Brittany work, paintings and all !!! Wow ! Will look soon at the other two blogs also... Glad to hear you liked the Brittany photos I've posted, there are lots more to come, we go out there quite a bit really, my wife's Mom lives near Morlaix...
à bientôt

Thanks again, Owen, for visiting my ZYGOSPHERE!...it is such a mad jumble really, where I "disgorge" all my France-related inspirations!!
I'll look forward to seeing more of your images from Brittany, and I will keep posting mine thematically for a while also...it is the only sane way I can sort through them all!
